If you thought you'd never hear Jewel perform her fan-favorite hit 'Hands' once she went country, you're in for a great surprise. The Academy of Country Music has announced that she will star in the ACM Lifting Lives Moment during the ACM Awards, performing a live mash-up of her hit about desperate times and not losing hope, combined with original song 'Fill a Heart,' written by singer/songwriter Tori Kelly.

This special musical moment presented by ConAgra Foods’ Child Hunger Ends Here campaign, marks the fifth year of moving performances, which highlight worthy causes and provide support on behalf of their beneficiaries. The Child Hunger Ends Here campaign works to bring the story of hunger to life, committed to helping end child hunger in America.

Although Jewel has sold over 27 million albums worldwide, the 'Pieces of Me' hitmaker has also known hardship, as she experienced times where she didn't know where she'd find her next meal would come from, or where she would sleep. The mission of the campaign hits home for her, and she is deeply passionate about the issue of child hunger.

“I’m so honored to perform this year’s ACM Lifting Lives moment and support ConAgra Foods’ Child Hunger Ends Here campaign. It’s an important cause I hold near and dear to my heart, and this is a wonderful way to give back and raise awareness. Tori wrote such a beautiful song, and I hope it serves as a wakeup call to everyone about how widespread a problem this is in the United States,” says Jewel.

This special musical moment will be broadcast during the ACM Awards Sunday, Apr. 7 on CBS.
