Jewel and Ty Murray Will Be Having a Baby Boy

Singer Jewel and husband Ty Murray have confirmed that they are indeed having a baby boy. Ah, the wonders of modern medical technology and how the miracles of science can eliminate the guesswork when it comes to planning ahead -- and, you know, painting the nursery! "We would have been happy either way, of course, but we are so excited to be having a little boy," Jewel tells PEOPLE.

As previously reported, it's the couple's first child, and she is due this summer. The ecstatic duo specifically waited to find out their child's sex before remodeling the guest room at their Texas ranch. Even better, now all their friends know what type of gender-specific presents to bring to the baby shower.

"I have to admit, I was doing a little dance on our way out of the doctor's office when we found out!" exclaims Murray, a nine-time World Champion rodeo cowboy.

Jewel, 36, had been attempting to get pregnant for two years prior.

One thing is for sure: Jewel and Murray's son is going to have some talented genes.
