Drama alert! Country singer Jo Dee Messina will make an appearance on Bravo's 'The Real Housewives of Atlanta' tomorrow night, Sunday, Jan. 8, at 9 PM ET. How, where and why will Messina factor into this drama-loaded show?

Well, she engaged in a collaborative writing session with cast member Kandi Burruss, who enjoyed a rush of fame as a member of platinum-selling girl group Xscape, and those efforts will be televised. Burruss worked on TLC's smash hit 'No Scrubs' and won a Grammy for it, so Messina partnering up with Burruss is all about the music, not the show's extraneous, ratings-driven cattiness.

In a statement, Messina gushed about working with Burruss, saying, "I loved getting to write with Kandi. She’s so talented. I hope we get a chance to do it again real soon." Tons of people tune each week to marvel at the antics of the Housewives, so this appearance is definitely a good move for Messina in terms of exposure.

You can even watch a brief clip of Messina and Burruss as they are embroiled in the creative process. We're looking forward to tuning in and seeing the ladies as their creative juices flow.
