If Joe Firstman looks familiar, it's because he's done some television work. Actually, he's done a lot of TV work. As the band leader for 'Last Call With Carson Daly' for four years, he made plenty of friends in and out of Hollywood. His song 'Carolina,' available for download below, is from his just released seventh studio album, 'Swear It Was a Dream.'

In addition to his solo work, Firstman recently partnered with Jaron Lowenstein of Jaron and the Long Road to Love to form the Cordovas. Their band has a new album full of three-part harmonies coming soon, and Firstman is also helping Lowenstein produce his solo album.

The Charlotte-born singer also spent time in Raleigh in the late '90s with his band Firstman, and he was with Atlantic Records from 2003 to 2005.

Firstman tells Taste of Country 'Carolina' is "a fond memory, It's a longing for home. Still, It's a declaration of more time away from what you love. More work.”
