Only one Joey + Rory appearance remains on their calendar, and it's an event they'll honor. This Thursday and Friday, Rory Feek and his daughter Heidi will travel to Utah to play the Heber Valley Western Music and Cowboy Poetry Gathering, an event the duo calls one of their favorites.

A note from Joey + Rory's manager explains that the Oct. 29 and 30 show will be honored because "the couple made this commitment with their wonderful friends at the festival nearly a year ago and this event's success means a great deal to both of them."

A note at the Gathering's website confirms that Joey Feek will not travel to Utah. She and her husband announced on Friday (Oct. 23) that treatments for her Stage 4 cancer were not working, so they were returning home. The illness is now terminal, but Rory writes in his This Life I Live blog that they came home to live, not to die.

Heidi Feek is an established solo artist who calls Elvis Presley and Willie Nelson influences. Her style is heavy on R&B and blues, and not quite the traditional country sound Joey + Rory's fans have come to love. The 20-something singer is one of two daughters from Rory's first marriage.

Soon after sharing the Joey's devastating health news, Joey + Rory announced that all remaining Farmhouse Concert dates scheduled for November and December had been canceled.
