News of Joey Feek’s death spread quickly throughout the country music community, and stars like Blake Shelton, Brad Paisley, Carrie Underwood and more took to Twitter to express sadness and send prayers and well-wishes to her family.

Tributes extended beyond Twitter. Chris Janson took a moment during his show in Nashville to pay tribute to Joey Feek. Feek’s fight intensified during her final months. She ended medical treatment but fought to live through mid-February to see the Grammys, the release of the couple’s hymns album and Indiana’s second birthday. Shortly after that day (Feb. 17), Rory revealed that his wife had told him she was sick of fighting, and after a round of goodbyes and a kiss to baby Indiana, she slipped away to sleep.
