Joey + Rory Feek celebrated a wonderful Christmas surrounded by their loved ones on Friday, carrying on with their determination to enjoy the holiday season this year despite some serious obstacles.

Joey has been battling Stage 4 cancer since she was diagnosed in June, a year after undergoing surgery in her initial cancer fight. She has undergone more surgery, radiation and chemotherapy, but her doctors have told the couple that there is nothing more they can do, and they recently ended her treatments. She has been in home hospice recently, after returning to her hometown of Alexandria, Ind. to spend as much time with her family as possible.

That hasn't stopped them from having a joyful Christmas with those closest to them, as evidenced by the photo above, which Rory posted to Facebook Christmas night with the caption, "Celebrating Christmas with Joey, surrounded by family. The best gift of all. Thank you Lord."

The family have had a magical Christmas season despite Joey's illness, receiving an early visit from Santa, as well as a very special video Christmas card from the cast and crew of Can You Duet, the television show that launched Joey + Rory's musical career together.

The couple have been steadfast in their faith throughout Joey's cancer battle, which Rory has written of movingly in his This Life I Live blog. She has set a goal to live until February so that she can see both the Grammy Awards — in which Joey + Rory are nominated for Best Country Duo/Group Performance — and daughter Indiana’s second birthday.
