Earlier this week it was a battle between country newcomers. John King's 'Tonight, Tonight' went up against the latest from country guitar-slinger Lindsay Ell, and after a close voting period the Georgia-raised singer came out on top. This weekend his competition will come with a much larger country fanbase.

But size isn't always what matters during the ToC Showdown. Montgomery Gentry released 'Headlights' as their first single in over two years. It's another uptempo party anthem that fans will love watching them perform live. They'll need to show their approval sooner than that however, as King's faithful have proven they are willing to fight for their man.

Listen to clips of both King’s and Montgomery Gentry’s songs and vote for your favorite here. You can vote once every hour until this Showdown ends on Monday at 8AM ET, so come back and vote often to be sure your artist wins. The winner of this matchup will face a new challenger on Monday.

Showdown Rules: The song with the most votes wins, and the winner goes on to face a new challenger in the next Showdown. Vote as much as once per hour online. If a song wins five Showdowns in a row, it will be retired into the Taste of Country Showdown Hall of Fame to allow for new songs to compete. Some songs will be considered for a second Showdown if voter turnout is healthy in a losing effort.
