Johnny Cash and June Carter – Famous Country Couples

Johnny Cash and June Carter Cash are unquestionably the most famous couple in country music. Their love and loyalty to one another is literally the stuff movies are made of. They wed in March 1968 and remained together through the deep-voiced country singer's very public incidents with drugs and alcohol.

But the Cash couple's union ended upon June's death in May 2003. Just four months later, Johnny died. Their romance was commemorated in the 2008 hit 'Johnny and June' by Heidi Newfield.
