'Drunk History's' 'American Music' Episode will feature Eric Edelstein as the drunk actor, telling the story of Johnny Cash and Kris Kristofferson's historic meeting.

Edelstein's version of the story says that Kristofferson was trying to make it as a songwriter, but was working as a part-time janitor when he was fortunate enough to meet Cash. They crossed paths in a Nashville recording studio, and Krisstofferson took the time to pitch the Man in Black his music.

Cash ultimately didn't plan to record any of the songs, but that all changed one day when Kristofferson knew he had just the song to pitch to Cash. Apparently, he flew a helicopter into the icon's front yard to bring it to him. Edelstein says this is the way 'Sunday Mornin' Comin' Down' ended up being a huge hit for both parties.

The Johnny Cash/Kris Kristofferson episode airs July 15 at 10PM ET on Comedy Central, but there's you can get sneak peek at what you can expect above. You may even see some familiar faces in the episode -- Johnny Knoxville makes a cameo as Cash, and Daly plays Kristofferson.
