Jon Pardi’s pup, Cowboy, welcomed a new canine buddy to his family on Aug. 27, when the artist brought home little Augustus, who happens to be Cowboy’s biological nephew.

Pardi announced the new guy via Twitter and said they will call him Gus, adorably tagging the post with the hashtag “#pardianimal.” Pardi got Cowboy back in 2012.

The artist has been busy this summer on the road with Alan Jackson as part of his 25th Anniversary Keepin’ It Country Tour, and putting out his B-Sides: 2011-2014 EP, which includes six previously unreleased tracks that were considered for his debut album, Write You a Song. Though they didn’t make the cut, Pardi still plays many of them live, so fans were excited to have them in their music libraries.

Pardi also recently released the music video for “Back on the Backroads,” which keeps the singer’s classic country flair intact and gives fans a look into the simpler side of country living. He’s slated to go out on tour this fall for an 18-date headlining run along with friends the Brothers Osborne.

“Out of all the tours I’ve been fortunate to be a part of, this one is especially exciting because we’ve been building towards this moment for a while. I have been buddies with TJ and John [Osborne] since moving to Nashville and we have talked about touring together for years. It’s finally here and going to be a blast,” Pardi says. “I really love the new music I have been working on for the next album and cannot wait to start playing it out on the road for the fans.”

The All Time High Tour begins in San Diego Oct. 8 and runs through January, wrapping up in Raleigh, N.C.
