'Comin' Around' singer Josh Thompson is about to kick off his 2012 Change Is Comin' Tour, which launches Feb. 3 in Charlotte, N.C. The tour is in support of his forthcoming second studio record, 'Change' -- a follow-up to 2010's 'Way Out Here.' Anticipating this tour, Thompson says he's excited, since being on the road always feels to him much like being home.

“I tour as much as I possible can," he said in a press release. "If I have a day off, I feel guilty. I’m so excited to share this new music with my fans ... I hope they love it as much as I do." Thompson also added on an invitation to his fans to join the fun: "Come out and party with us!”

Thompson released his first single from the record, also dubbed 'Comin' Around,' on Dec. 13 of last year. Talking to Taste of Country about the single before its release, co-writer Rodney Clawson said, “Josh and I wrote this song with our buddy, Kendall Marvell. Kendall had the idea. He had the little guitar/banjo lick. He came in with that and he came in with the idea of ‘Comin’ Around.’ We were talking about how we all grew up in small towns where you have these big dreams of where you’re going to go and what you’re going to do.”

Thompson shot the video for the song in Nashville earlier this month with director P.R. Brown. Making use of a green screen, those involved with the video dished that it has to do with Thompson, a vacant field and a carnival. And that just proves you never know what you're going to get from this country singer-songwriter, or his highly anticipated record for that matter.
