Monday morning, the Old Natchez Country Club golf course in Franklin, Tenn. was overflowing with some of the women who make the music biz happen during the 25th Annual Music Row Ladies Golf Tournament. Ladies from all walks of the industry came out for the event, including record labels, publishing companies, booking agents, management teams and fellow artists. While the ladies enjoyed their stroll through the course, some famous faces helped by serving as the caddies, including Josh Thompson.

"I'm just glad I'm not golfing because I don't think I'm very good at it because I've never done it ... except for mini-golf," Thompson told Taste of Country before the event. "I can take anybody on that! I’ve never caddied before either, but I got recruited because my managers and publisher are here, and so I am the caddy for the team. I will drive the golf cart, I make sure everybody has a cold drink, and I apparently will carry around the pink bags filled with golf clubs. It’s going to be awesome. So I made them all wear Josh Thompson shirts."

But what if Thompson's team turned to the 'Beer on the Table' singer for tips on their swings? "I’ll give them my suggestions, so they can take them or leave them today," Thompson said with a grin. "Probably my main suggestion is just put it in the hole."

Other artists on hand participating in the fun included Thompson's labelmates, Kellie Pickler and Joanna Smith, as well as Danielle Peck, Dani Flowers, Mallary Hope, Wade Bowen and others.

"This is the second time I've ever golfed," MCA's newly signed Mallary Hope told us before hitting the greens. "I'm good at hitting [the ball] far ... just not in the right spot [laughs]!"

The Music Row Ladies Golf Tournament has proven to be one of the music business' most creative and charitable events. Funds raised from the event benefit the United Cerebral Palsy of Middle Tennessee, and over $1.5 million has already been raised for the organization.
