Josh Turner's brand new 'Punching Bag' album just hit shelves on June 12, and already it's swimming among the top albums on the Billboard Country Albums chart.

Currently at No. 6 -- Kenny Chesney's 'Welcome to the Fishbowl' is No. 1 -- Turner's fifth studio album also lands at No. 5 on the all-genre Billboard 200 chart and is his second album to top the country chart, as well as his fifth consecutive Top 10 debut.

The debut comes just as the project's first single, 'Time Is Love,' prepares to crack the Top 10 on the country singles chart. Of the collection's 11 tracks, Turner wrote or co-wrote eight songs, including the title track and his collaboration with Ricky Skaggs, 'For the Love of God.' The singer also penned 'Pallbearer,' which features legend Marty Stuart and Iris DeMent.

Turner is set to embark on a media blitz in promotion of 'Punching Bag,' with scheduled appearances on PBS's 'A Capitol Fourth' holiday celebration, as well as a July 11 stop at ABC's 'Good Morning America.'
