When 17-year-old pop music icon Justin Bieber snagged the Collaborative Video of the Year award at the CMT Music Awards for his 'That Should Be Me' video featuring Rascal Flatts, he seemed just a little out of place among the stars of twang music. Truthfully, the Biebs says he loves country -- and that he gets it from his mom.

Bieber told MTV post-awards show that he was "really glad" to be in attendance, and that he has actually had some country exposure in the past. "It's great. It's so many people my mother admires, 'cause she loves country music, and I do too," Bieber said. "So it's really great to be here with Rascal Flatts."

Of course, the Flatts were eager to chat with MTV about their latest projects, too. During the filming of the Bieber collaborative video a few months ago, frontman Gary LeVox shocked Beliebers around the world when he snipped the 'Baby' singer's famous swoop locks, helping him shape a fresh, short cut. MTV asked the Flatts singer if he could have anything in his next video, what would it be? LeVox firmly replied, "Justin cutting my hair!"

That we would love to see! In the meantime, there's no word on whether we'll be hearing any more country music from Bieber.
