Ever wondered what a Drake song, performed as spoken-word with a strong Arkansas accent would sound like? Get ready: Justin Moore has blessed fans with an unprecedented gem.

Phoenix radio station KNIX convinced the artist to do a reading of Drake’s “Hotline Bling” lyrics, and Moore obliged, though seemingly with a bit of reluctance, as he clearly was not familiar with the song. Moore did his best to remain straight-faced throughout the entire performance, but lost it when a particularly hip-hop lyric threw him.

"I wonder if you're rolling up a backwoods for someone else / Doing things I taught you, getting nasty for someone else,” he reads before breaking.

“I was doing so good 'til you started laughin’!” he protests to someone off camera.

The artist puts a renewed enthusiasm into the words after that, finishing it out with gusto. After the last line, in true Moore style, he asks, incredulous, "How much more money does this guy make than us? Are you kidding me?"

Moore recently released a tune with slightly more inventive lyrics, titled “You Look Like I Need a Drink," from an upcoming album, about which details have not yet been released. The clever tune is about that feeling when a significant other clearly has bad news to break, and the anticipation of the terrible conversation.

Moore is currently on the road with Brad Paisley’s Crushin’ It Tour alongside Mickey Guyton.
