Justin Moore is preparing to release his third studio album, and this time around, he's ready to take country music fans 'Off the Beaten Path.' In a recent interview, Moore assured his fans that his latest work will come with a few surprises.

“It’s been two years since we’ve released new music and I’m beyond excited to get these 16 songs out to our fans," Moore said (quote via Country Music Is Love). "I will always remain true to who I am, but there are a few curveballs that show my sense of humor and take our fans 'off the beaten path.'"

Pun intended, naturally.

'Off the Beaten Path' was produced by Jeremy Stover, who is largely known for his songwriting skills. Stover is partially responsible for 'Small Town USA,' which was Moore's first chart-topping hit. In addition to working with talented songwriters, Moore reached out to country music stars Miranda Lambert and Charlie Daniels for help on the record.

"We want to step it up every time, and I really feel like this collection of songs allows us to reach out in ways we haven’t yet," Moore added. "I've also never done a duet so it’s really cool to have both Miranda Lambert and Musicians Hall of Famer Charlie Daniels agree to join me on a couple of songs."

Moore is planning a 60-date tour to accompany the new record. While chatting about his tour, he dished to Taste of Country that some country music fans still don't think of him as a star. Several people have asked him if he's going to play small clubs when he hits the road. But in reality, he'll be taking the stage in huge arenas.

“We’ve kind of been under the radar. Nobody realizes it,” Moore said. “That’s even more motivation for me [to be a success].”

So far, Moore's first single from the album, 'Point at You,' is nearing the Top 20, which bears well for the upcoming record. 'Off the Beaten Path' will be offered in both standard and deluxe formats, and it will hit store shelves and digital retailers on Sept. 17.
