Kacey Musgraves' "Biscuits" lyric video is (expectedly) as cute and fun as she is.

What appears to be cutout paper words and pictures flash across the screen, telling the story of the tune without any high-tech equipment. The whole sequence is very fitting to Musgraves' quirky, old fashioned image that we come to expect from the singer. It poses the question: who needs a glitzy video, anyway?

Cutout houses, cannon balls, daisies, campfires, and of course biscuits and gravy float in and off the page to create a whimsical scene that support the theme of the tune, the singer's latest single, which was released in March. Penned by Shane McAnally, Brandy Clark and Musgraves, the song sounds like a follow-up to "Follow Your Arrow," which won her 2014 CMA Song of the Year. Littered with puns and metaphors, the light and airy "Biscuits" is almost guaranteed to be stuck in your head all summer long.

"I think it’s the perfect preview to the record we had SO much fun making,” Musgraves says. “The sound of this song represents so many of the things I love about country music."

The 26-year-old will perform "Biscuits" on The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon Tuesday (June 9) and on Late Night With Seth Myers on Wednesday (June 10). You can also catch Musgraves sing this tune when she plays at Country Jam in Grand Junction, Co. on June 20.

"Biscuits" is the debut single off Musgraves' highly anticipated forthcoming album Pageant Material which is slated to be released June 23.
