Rising country star Kacey Musgraves may feel like she's on a 'Merry Go Round' right now, what with the dizzying speed that her debut record 'Same Trailer Different Park' has shot up to No. 1. on the Billboard Country Chart.

The 24-year-old, who co-wrote the album, must be enjoying the thrill of seeing her name sitting pretty at the top, as she's also holding the No. 2 position on Billboard Top 200. Her album, released March 19, has sold 43,496 units and has received critical acclaim from top notch critics such as Rolling Stone, USA Today, NPR and Taste of Country.

Musgraves is already living the life of a successful traveling musician, with three ACM Award nominations, including Female Vocalist of the Year, plus a coveted opening spot on Kenny Chesney's amazing No Shoes Nation Tour. You can also catch her on CBS Sunday Morning on April 7 -- they'll air a feature on the new singer, which was filmed in Nashville and Texas.

The hardworking young songstress will have plenty more adventures coming her way, as all the positive accolades seem to be a foreshadowing for a very successful career.
