Kalie Shorr is all about being a supportive friend, but sometimes, she’s just gotta tell it straight. The artist released a new video for her song “He’s Just Not That Into You,” which marries her spunky, bubbly style with a hard-to-swallow truth: that guy who’s being dodgy may just not like you that much after all.

Playing on the traditional petal-picking "He loves me, he loves me not' trope in a few scenes, Shorr lays it all out on the table, explaining to girlfriends that those non-committal behaviors are not coincidences, they're red flags.

The adorable 22-year-old delivers bad news with a smile and charm (her long, wavy locks bouncing as she sings into a vintage mic in between scenes of girl talk) that makes it hard to be mad at her for it. The video ends with a tongue-in-cheek depiction of an actual intervention — complete with banner — to put an end to the girlfriend’s misery.

“He’s Just Not That Into You” is Shorr’s latest single and a follow-up to her EP, The Y2K Mixtape. She’s been turning heads with her infectious tunes, both with her involvement in the #LetTheGirlsPlay campaign and in her own right, with her YouTube covers and social media.

Shorr was also one of the artists selected for fans to vote on in Taste of Country's Hot Seat, which will help determine the RISERS, an elite group of young artists who are set to be country music's next breakout stars. The results of that vote will be revealed soon.
