Kalie Shorr got so inspired by Taylor Swift's new song, "Look What You Made Me Do," that she came up with a clever new arrangement and recorded it less than 12 hours after its release.

The Taste of Country RISERS artist and #LetTheGirlsPlay veteran replaced the moody sonic backdrop of swirling synths and electronic beat with simple acoustic chords, delivered with a percussive flair that's almost reminiscent of slow flamenco accents. She delivers the song's threatening, not-gonna-take-it-anymore lyrics with bottled-up venom that matches Swift's in intensity.

"But I got smarter, I got harder in the nick of time / Honey, I rose up from the dead / I do it all the time / I got a list of names, and yours is in red, underlined / I check it once, then I check it twice / Ooh, look what you made me do / Look what you made me do / Look what you made me do / Look what you just made me do," Shorr sings.

Her version of "Look What You Made Me Do" also contains a sample from Kanye West, one of the people Swift's song may very well take aim at.

"Look What You Made Me Do" is the first single from Swift's upcoming Reputation album, and it appears to draw from the unwanted headlines she has made in recent years with high-profile relationships and feuds with fellow celebrities.

Shorr is one of Nashville's most up-and-coming female singer-songwriters. She's a fixture of the Monday night Song Suffragettes gigs in Music City, and ToC named Shorr as one of our RISERS for 2017. Watch her share an original song titled "Nothin' New" at the RISERS shoot below.  Shorr also took part in a photo shoot and spoke to ToC about her SiriusXM breakthrough single, "Fight Like a Girl."
