Kane Brown's newest single, "Thunder in the Rain," is out now, and he's ecstatic about having new music. The newcomer stopped by the Taste of Country Nights studio and talked about the track that he calls a "fun radio song."

"Thunder in the Rain" is a more mature song for Brown. He shows off his strong vocal chops, but also has a little fun. He's had the song for a while, and his enthusiasm to have it out to the fans is infectious.

“I recorded [it] kind of close to ‘Sober’ so we’ve had it a while," Brown tells ToC Nights. "I just wrote a song about a relationship pretty much with two unstoppable forces that nobody’s going to break. I wrote it with Josh Hoge and Matt McVaney. I just think it’s a fun radio song. I’m super excited for it.”

He'll have plenty of time to practice the new single now that he'll be headlining his very own tour this fall. Brown's hoping to pick up some new fans with the song while he's out on the road.

“I’m super excited just to see the new faces, and with the new music, how many more fans we gain. I’m just excited for all of it, man.”

The Ain't No Stopping Us Now Tour kicks off Nov. 3 in Kalamazoo, Mich., and wraps up Jan. 21 in Houston, Texas. Fans can purchase "Thunder in the Rain" now as a single on iTunes.

Sam Alex is the host of Taste of Country Nights radio, a syndicated night show which airs on more than 75 stations nationwide. Listen to highlights on iTunes or your Android device.
