For young country artist Kane Brown, his recent gig in front of a sold out crowd at Gramercy Theater marked the second time he played New York City. Brown has been touring in support of his brand new EP, Chapter 1.

The set began with his recent single, “Ain’t Stopping Us Now,” to the delight of the crowd. Whether Brown was dishing out the well-known George Strait classic “Check Yes or No” or doing the body roll to his rendition of R. Kelly’s remix to “Ignition,” it’s a bit of a surprise, at first, to hear a sultry deep voice come out of this Georgia boy. His band is a whole lot of fun to watch, and sonically Brown’s voice filled the venue with original tunes “Used to Love You Sober” and “Thunder in the Rain.”

A highlight of the night came toward the end, before his encore, when Brown was surprised onstage with an RIAA certified Gold plaque for the hit single “Used to Love You Sober” which is his first at just 22 years old. The night aptly ended with a track titled “House Party,” and he has a lot to celebrate after his accomplishment.

Brown has had a bittersweet past few days with the tragic stabbing of his sister and just a few days later receiving his first Gold record, but there’s just no stopping Kane Brown.  For this young talented musician there is no way but up in his career. Brown will embark on his Ain't No Stoppin' Us Tour in November.
