Does rapper Kanye West have his eyes on the most famous piece of real estate in rock n' roll history? That's the rumor.

West is reportedly interested in buying Graceland, the former Memphis home of Elvis Presley. The property isn't officially for sale, but Britain's Daily Star quotes a source that says there are whispers that Lisa Marie Presley is going to sell. Graceland would remain open to the public for the nearly half a million yearly Elvis fans to visit. The 13-acre parcel is said to be worth about $85 million.

The reason for West's interest is personal. He's a fan of Elvis, apparently. "Kanye thinks owning Graceland and restoring it to its former glory would cement his place in showbiz history," the unidentified source says.

The rapper is dating reality star Kim Kardashian, and the two have a baby named North. Earlier this year, a significant amount of Presley's assets went on sale for $200 million. CORE Media Group announced the operation that overseas Graceland tours, as well as licensing, merchandising and music publishing for Presley, was for sale. Visual media projects were also lumped in that deal, but not Graceland.

Though West may be hoping to get his hands on the goods, Lisa Marie Presley assures that won't be the case. She tweeted: "Re your questions, As I have said before Graceland and all of its artifacts are all mine and always will be."
