American Idol is coming closer to an end, as the show — which is in its final season — is down to the Top 4 finalists. In addition to slowly narrowing down the remaining finalists to crown a winner, American Idol's performances will continue, but this time the judges will be in the spotlight. Next Thursday (March 31), Keith Urban is set to take the stage during the two-hour broadcast for a performance. While he hasn't revealed what song he'll be singing, he will surely bring his guitar shredding.

The American Idol Top 4 finalists include MacKenzie Bourg, Trent Harmon, Dalton Rapattoni and La’Porsha Renae. Next week's episode will have the hopefuls performing three songs; a judges’ pick, Scott Borchetta’s selection and each contestant’s choice as a tribute to their hometown.

Urban recently announced that his forthcoming eighth studio album Ripcord will be released on May 6. He has been readying a new music video for his next single as well, and has shared some behind-the-scenes of the video shoot on his Twitter.

Ripcord is almost done — and it’s been an exhilarating journey,” Urban says in a press release. “Getting to work with so many new musicians and writers and co-producers has been a divine experience for me — and I can’t wait for everyone to hear it!”

He will kick off his Ripcord World Tour 2016 on June 2, featuring Brett Eldredge and Maren Morris as his supporting acts. The star says fans can expect some new tunes in his set.

"I’m seriously chomping at the bit to kick off this tour,” Urban shares. “We’ll be playing a lot of new music from Ripcord, all new production, new cities where we’ve never played … and Brett Eldredge and Maren Morris? It’s gonna be potent and unbridled!!!"
