Keith Urban and the Band Perry Cover Katy Perry’s ‘Teenage Dream’

What's in a name? Apparently, quite a bit of musical talent! In their respective genres, country trio the Band Perry and pop starlet Katy Perry are at the top of their games -- and it's cool for country artists to cover pop songs, so that's just what the Band Perry and Keith Urban did at a recent stopover in Canada. The Band Perry kept it all in the family (sort of) and did their namesake proud as they partnered with Urban to perform a killer cover of Perry's airy anthem 'Teenage Dream,' which was a No. 1 smash on the pop charts.

Urban and the Band Perry took Katy Perry's fluffy ode to young love and turned it into a robust country jam. Doesn't Kimberly Perry look like a total pop diva in this video, with her hands in the air?

Urban was not to be outdone, though! He also handled a verse, and Katy Perry would be proud to hear him sing about putting "your hands on me in my skintight jeans."

What's most striking about this cover is how much fun all involved parties are having. Pop music will do that for you. Wouldn't it be incredible for the female Perrys (Kim and Katy) to eventually duet?
