Keith Urban Performs ‘Cop Car’ from the Bluebird Cafe During 2014 CMT Awards

Keith Urban gave a rare, stripped-down performance of 'Cop Car' from Nashville's famous Bluebird Cafe during the 2014 CMT Music Awards ... or so fans thought.

While Urban usually hits the stage with a full band of amazing musicians backing him, his vocal prowess and masterful guitar skills were on full display during his solo performance at the CMT Awards. And what started off as an intimate performance on the tiny stage of the Bluebird, turned into a big surprise for television viewers as the stage magically split apart, revealing the rest of Bridgestone Arena behind him. It was one of the more mellow moments of the show, but still one full of surprises and amazing musicianship.

Urban is about kick off his 2014 Raise 'Em Up Tour on July 12 and will be joined by Jerrod Niemann and Brett Eldredge. And that's all before he hits the judge's chair for a third year in a row on Fox's American Idol.
