Keith Urban brought a lively performance to the stage at the 2016 ACM Awards in Las Vegas with his brand-new single, "Wasted Time."

Urban brought out his banjo for the upbeat anthem, kicking off the high-energy song with his signature pop-country sound. The driving beat and hooky melody had the entire crowd on their feet as Urban danced along with them while he played. Flames surrounded the singer and his band, who provided a chorus of catchy backing vocals as they moved into a rhythmic bridge, Urban spitting lyrics so quickly it sounded like it may transform into a rap. The always-charismatic Aussie wrapped up the performance with a smile as he signed off on the last note.

The new song pushes the envelope even further for Urban, who has been exploring all kind of edgy new sonic textures with his most recent releases. "Wasted Time" boasts a strong  pop element and a very modern arrangement, but a banjo lends the song just enough country cred to keep it within the limits of the genre. The song comes from his upcoming studio album, Ripcord, which is set for release in May.

Urban also joined Miranda Lambert and ZZ Top guitarist Billy Gibbons on the stage in Vegas for a very special performance of the ZZ Top classic "Tush." Little Big Town, Blake Shelton, Charles KelleyOld DominionLuke BryanCarrie Underwood, Kenny Chesney, Florida Georgia Line, Jason Aldean,Thomas Rhett and Tim McGraw also performed during the live broadcast, along with Eric Church, Kelsea BalleriniDierks Bentley, Chris Stapleton, CamChris Young with Cassadee Pope, Brett Eldredge and Sam Hunt.

Urban was also nominated for Song and Vocal Event of the Year for "Raise 'Em Up," his collaboration with Eric Church.
