Keith Urban is once again at the top of the charts with his latest smash hit, 'Without You.' This week, the tender ballad tops both the Billboard and Mediabase/Country Aircheck charts. The new No. 1 hit marks the 12th time Urban has gone to the top with one of his songs.

Although the song is very autobiographical for Urban, it was written by two of Nashville's hit songwriters, Dave Pahanish and Joe West. The song's inspiration came from Pahanish's blossoming relationship with his now-wife, Kristin.

"One morning, I woke up with a melody in my head and started forming it into to what would eventually be 'Without You,'" Pahanish told Taste of Country earlier this year. "This was an exciting time in my life, as I had just met the love of my life and my career, after so long, had finally started to take off. My song 'Do You Believe Me Now' [recorded by Jimmy Wayne] was climbing the charts 'with a bullet.' Everything that was happening in my life I was attributing to fate. Kris was from Austin, and I was living in Nashville and it seemed so unlikely that we would meet and fall in love living so far from one another, but we did."

In other chart news, Blake Shelton's 'Honey Bee' moves up this week to No. 3 and last week's No. 1 song, 'Old Alabama,' by Brad Paisley, slips down to the No. 2 position.
