Kellie Pickler Gabs on ‘The View,’ Performs ‘Someone Somewhere Tonight’

Kellie Pickler is becoming quite a small screen staple. Fresh off of her 'Dancing With the Stars' win, the country singer performed her new single, the ballad 'Someone Somewhere Tonight,' on 'The View' (June 18) in addition to serving as a guest co-host on the daily gabfest.

Pickler is high energy, so she was able to do both things well.

We have to admit that it was fun to see Pickler get back to doing that other thing she does so well -- sing! Sure, she's a champion dancer now, but fans can't lose sight of the fact that she has a gorgeous voice and is primarily a singer. She delivered an emotional rendition of her new single on the show's darkened stage, surrounded by background lights.

Post-performance, the only hint Pickler offered about her new album, due this fall, was that it'll be "Kellie country," which is something she's said before.

She admitted to missing 'DTWS,' joking that her husband took her to a dance class after the win. "I said, ''Baby, if you don't go to dance class with me, I'm going to have to get a rent-a-husband to go,'" she joked.

Pickler also sat on the panel, filling in for Barbara Walters and Joy Behar for the episode.

She revealed she toned by appearing on 'DWTS,' as opposed to losing weight. The ladies discussed the day's hot topics, such as the domestic issue between Nigella Lawson and her husband, fast food shenanigans and bridal party boudoir events.
