Kellie Pickler and hard rocker Joan Jett are currently in the Middle East on a USO tour together. The ‘Red High Heels’ singer tweeted a few days before she left, “Just got back from my honeymoon and now I'm packing for the Middle East. Time to take a little piece of home to our service men and women.”

Her husband of 10 days, Kyle Jacobs, is along as well. She continued, "Never imagined I would spend part of my honeymoon in the Persian Gulf. But it's sooooooo worth it!”

DVIDS reports that at their Sunday concert at Camp Buehring in Kuwait, over 400 service members got in line an hour before the concert started, hoping to get front row seats. Pickler opened for Jett Sunday night, and before she left the stage, the country star brought a Marine onstage to join her in singing her hit single 'Red High Heels.'

Picker and Jett put on two-hour set as part of a week-long USO entertainment tour for American Armed Forces who are currently serving in the Middle East. After getting autographs and CDs by both artists, soldiers didn't want to leave -- they stood outside for over 3 hours to bid the girls farewell.

Both Jett and Pickler are USO vets, having participated in three and four previous tours, respectively.
