Kelly Clarkson is an expert on dealing with body shamers who attack her online, and she doesn't tolerate it. Over the Fourth of July holiday, the singer shared her gratitude for soldiers, and while many of the responses to her message were positive — many mothers shared photos of their children who are enlisted — one online troll decided it was an opportunity to attack Clarkson personally.

"Thank u 2 every person in service 4 protecting all of us and cheers to every person who fought for us to experience freedom & independence," she writes.

"You're fat," the troll tweeted (the user has since made his account private).

Clarkson's response?

This is far from the first time Clarkson has dealt with comments from strangers about her weight. In 2015, British TV personality and writer for The Sun Katie Hopkins tweeted to ask if Clarkson had eaten her backup singers.

When asked by Heat magazine about the comment, Clarkson was shocked, but instead of getting upset, she took things in stride.

"I don’t have a clue what you’re talking about. Someone tweeted something about me?" she asked. "That’s because she doesn’t know me. I’m awesome! It doesn’t bother me. It’s a free world. Say what you will."

During a visit to the Ellen DeGeneres Show, Clarkson admitted that she no longer takes comments on her weight to heart.

"I love how people think that's new – like, 'Welcome to the past 13 years,'" she says. "Yeah, I was the biggest girl on [American Idol] too. And I wasn't big, but people would call me big because I was the biggest one on Idol, and I've kind of always gotten that. It's like, you're just who you are. We are who we are. Whatever size, and it doesn't mean that we're gonna be that forever."
