The current craze sweeping the nation is the Mannequin Challenge, and Kelly Clarkson recently got in on the fun while in the studio. The singer posted an impressive still video of herself partaking in the challenge.

"In the studio mannequin style! #MannequinChallenge" she captions a short clip of her at the mic with her headphones on frozen mid-recording.

But Clarkson isn't the only artist testing out the latest social media craze. Garth Brooks recently took part in the Mannequin Challenge live in concert with his band and crew — one of the best entries yet.

Mid-set, the band was finishing a song and a cameraman got it all on tape. As he moves past a curtain, everyone is suddenly frozen. From the crew working under the stage to the guitar tech about to walk up the stairs, everyone is stopped. Brooks, of course, is paused in an epic pose centerstage. The audience gets louder by the minute as they realize what is going on. Once the music starts up again and everyone un-freezes, Brooks and the crew appear happy with the successful outcome.

Last month, Clarkson surprised the audience at a Brooks concert in Nashville, Tenn. for a performance of the country legend's “We Shall Be Free.” It was a free concert to celebrate Brooks' seven-diamond certified albums. "We Shall Be Free" was released in August 1992 as the first single from Brooks' The Chase album. The original American Idol winner wowed the audience with her powerful vocal range.
