Kelly Clarkson is a new mama-to-be, and with pregnancy often comes the dreaded morning sickness. The singer opened up on the 'Today' show, spilling the beans on that, as well as her premonition about having a little girl.

Clarkson sat down with Savannah Guthrie and was totally honest about how things are going so far. When Guthrie asked, "Are you feeling good?" Clarkson answered with an immediate "Nope!" which prompted lots of sympathetic laughter.

"I don’t know why they call it morning sickness -- that’s my big joke right now,” says the singer. "Because it’s like all day and all night. I am super excited about being pregnant -- I’m just looking forward to the second trimester!”

Despite her all day sickness, Clarkson still stuns, sporting the telltale pregnancy glow and a gorgeous red dress to celebrate her upcoming Christmas album -- aptly titled 'Wrapped in Red' -- as she sat down with 'Today' on Nov. 26.

The singer's pregnancy news was not a shocker, as she has been very open about her desire for kids. In fact, she ended up telling fans her news earlier than expected -- not because she couldn't hold it in any longer, but because the crossover star didn't want to be perceived as 'lazy.'

"We were trying to wait until the end of my first trimester ... but everybody kept talking about it and I had to cancel something because I've been so ill, so I didn't want people to think I was canceling and I'm lazy or something!" she explains.

Now that the news is out, the two questions she'll get for months revolve around the sex of the baby and what she'll name him or her. Clarkson has a hunch that it's a girl, even giving the scientific reasoning behind her thoughts to Guthrie after admitting that it may be "TMI" for a lot of viewers.

We'll give you a hint, it has to do with ... timing.

Don't, however, expect to hear the name Clarkson and hubby Brandon Blackstock have picked out; she's not taking a chance that anyone would steal it before baby gets here!
