Kelly Clarkson continues to rock country music covers at the request of her fans. Most recently, she put on a rendition of a true classic country tune. At a gig in Indianapolis on Sunday night (Sept. 2), Clarkson gave Tammy Wynette's 'Stand by Your Man' the special treatment.

In conjunction with her 2012 Stronger Tour, the pop princess (who has been dipping her toes in the country music waters lately) lets one lucky fan choose a song for her to cover at each performance. This time around, the fan had great taste and picked Wynette's most well-known tune.

Not only did Clarkson pay homage to the icon by lending her powerhouse vocals to the classic song, but she had nothing but nice things to say about the legendary country singer -- and classic country music -- after the song ended.

"I love that song... It's awesome," she told the audience. "I love country music, I grew up on it. But I will say, most of the old country is my favorite. I just love that it sounds so classic, it's just really cool, and it makes me feel like two-stepping. I love some Tammy Wynette."

Clarkson has made it clear that she's always been a big fan of country. During this tour alone, she has already covered Trisha Yearwood's 'Walkaway Joe,' Lee Ann Womack's 'I Hope You Dance,' and Dixie Chicks' 'Wide Open Spaces.' We can't wait to see what she does next!
