Kelly Clarkson is the latest music star to track her family heritage on an upcoming episode popular 'Who Do You Think You Are?' reality documentary series, which is in its fourth season of production.

According to Nashville Gab, the Texas native was spotted in Americus, Ga. prior to filming her segment at the Andersonville National Historic Site. The location is the home of a confederate military prison where 45,000 soldiers were held during the Civil War.

Tim McGraw and Wynonna are two country superstars who have filmed past episodes for 'Who Do You Think You Are?' Clarkson's pal and future mother-in-law, Reba McEntire, also appeared in a 2012 episode in which she discovered some unsettling information about her distant ancestors.

Perhaps Clarkson is hoping to delve into her deep family history to brush up on her ancestry as she moves forward with wedding plans for her upcoming marriage to fiance Brandon Blackstock. The singer shares that her pending earthy, outdoor ceremony will reflect her strong Texas roots.

No word on when the new season of 'Who Do You Think You Are?' will air. The series was first broadcasted on NBC from 2010-12, but has been picked up by TLC for its fourth season.
