Kelsea Ballerini delivered one of the best performances of the night at the 2018 ACM Awards with the clever "I Hate Love Songs."

Ballerini took her presentation to the next level by making her way to the stage in extravagant fashion, coasting through the air while perched in a giant pink heart that ascended above the audience as she sings the song's opening verse while soaring over the heads of those sitting inside the MGM Grand Arena. Her glittery, soft pink gown matched the vibe of the performance perfectly, as the starlet exuded grace and glamor.

"Oh and I'm far too vain to kiss in the rain / The clouds, they aren't numbered to nine / And you make me feel something but it sure as hell ain't butterflies" she sang while doo-wop style singers provided background vocals.

While we know her as one of country music's brightest young stars, Ballerini may have a secret career as a magician. When the camera panned away for a few seconds and turned back, the singer had whimsically traded her beautiful gown for a more low-key getup of a white tank top and bedazzled jeans, bringing the unique and captivating performance to a close.

Ballerini joins a team of fearless country women in the category of Female Vocalist of the Year with Miranda Lambert, Carrie Underwood, Maren Morris and the legendary Reba McEntire. She's also up for Video of the Year for her chart-topping "Legends" along with Brothers Osborne's rowdy "Ain't My Fault," Thomas Rhett's heart-wrenching "Marry Me," the sober "Black" by Dierks Bentley and the spunky "We Should Be Friends" from Lambert.
