Kenny Chesney set a number of attendance records on his Big Revival Tour, and he plans to do the same on next year's run, including a show at Boston’s Gillette Stadium, home of the New England Patriots.

The Aug. 26, 2016 show is a part of Chesney’s Spread the Love Tour and will be his 14th at the enormous stadium. The artist set a record during his most recent performance there, with 120,206 fans in attendance.

“We have had so many special nights at Gillette,” Chesney says. “Every single one has been its own set of memories … and when we go back this year, I want to know we are going to have the night that tops all the ones that have come before. The people in and around Boston are amazing, and I want to live up to all the energy they give us.”

Chesney founded the Spread the Love foundation to benefit the amputee survivors of the Boston Marathon bombing tragedy and has a special place in his heart for the community in the city.

“Even before we started playing stadiums in 2005, Boston was special,” Chesney admits. “They really listen to the songs … They really rock hard when you put it out there … And it’s a place where I can bring my friend Gretchen Rhodes out to sing a song like ‘Happy On The Hey Now,’ and people just get it. Those are some kind of fans, and when we get there, I know it’s going to be the kind of night worth waiting all summer for.”

The singer broke nine attendance records during the Big Revival Tour, many of which were previously set himself, selling more than 1.3 million tickets total. He was the only country artist to be named to Billboard’s Top 10 Touring Acts of the Past 25 Years.

Chesney will kick off his 2016 stadium tour at Auburn University’s Jordan-Hare stadium in April. The full list of dates for the tour, which will also include Miranda Lambert, Sam Hunt and Old Dominion, are below.
