Kenny Chesney has been spreading the love in stadiums around the country, bringing his hits to fans in packed-out venues along with Miranda Lambert, Sam Hunt and Old Dominion. At one of his shows in Uncasville, Conn., the artist changed it up a bit with a performance of a George Strait classic, “Oceanfront Property."

Chesney delivers the song with a grin spread across his face, clearly enjoying performing the hit for his fans, many of whom sing along the whole time.

“Oceanfront Property" was released by the King of Country back in 1986, the title track to its record and a beloved tune that quickly became a No. 1 hit for the artist. The clever lyrics list out a few harsh statements directed at a former significant other, but soon twist to reveal he’s not being entirely truthful. “I’ve got some oceanfront property in Arizona / If you buy that, I’ll throw in the Golden Gate free,” he sings.

The Spread the Love Tour continues through Aug. 27. Chesney is slated to release a new record in July titled Some Town Somewhere, which will include his most recent single, “Noise.” The song takes an honest look at the roles technology and the 24-hour news cycle play in our society — Chesney’s first major wade into infusing social commentary into his tunes.

“In some ways, this record is more me than anything I’ve done,” Chesney says of the album. “You get into my head, my heart and the way so much of what’s going on around all of us hits me. Taken as a whole, this is a record about seizing life in all its forms: the moments you wish wouldn’t end, the times that make you rethink your priorities, the simple stuff that gives us balance, a few characters at the bar and the hope that it’s all worth doing.”

He’s also set to headline the Taste of Country Music Festival June 10-12 in New York.
