February 26 would have been Johnny Cash's 80th birthday, and while the country legend is no longer here to celebrate the occasion with his fans, those fans have come up with more than one way to honor his memory. As a part of the legendary Austin City Limits TV show, country stars Kenny Chesney, Ronnie Dunn, Kris Kristofferson, Jamey Johnson and more will be performing at Austin's Moody Theatre to pay tribute with the 'We Walk The Line: A Celebration of the Music of Johnny Cash' concert.

“Our family is honored to know that this amazing lineup of artists will gather together on one stage to pay tribute to the music and history of my father,” Johnny’s son, John Carter Cash, said in a statement released to the media. “There is no doubt in my mind that, although he is no longer with us in body, his spirit will shine true on this night thanks to these inspired artists.”

Among those inspired artists will be a band comprised of legendary talent including Buddy Miller, Kenny Aronoff, Ian McLagen and Greg Leisz, all led by Don Was. Keith Wortman will produce the live event, which is also raising money for the organization Charley’s Fund, a group that helps children fight the fatal disease Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy.

“Having been a fan of Johnny Cash and his music for as long as I can remember I could not be more excited to produce an event that honors such a musical legend,” Wortman explained. “His iconic voice, style and authenticity has inspired musicians for generations and we are proud to be able to celebrate his artistic legacy with some of today’s greatest entertainers while also benefiting such an amazing children’s cause, Charley’s Fund."

Chris Cornell, Amy Lee, Shooter Jennings, Lucinda Williams and Ray LaMontagne are also on the bill.
