Kenny Chesney spent some time off catching passes from the Pepsi NFL Rookie of the Year Russell Wilson last week. Before a show at CenturyLink Field in Seattle, Washington on Saturday (June 1), the country singer worked out with the Seattle Seahawks football team.

The video shows Chesney wearing a neon-green T-shirt and Seahawks helmet, running routes and catching deep balls at the team's practice facility in Renton, Wash. He says he knows coach Pete Carroll from a meeting at a show a number of years ago.

"We kept in touch and when we were coming he asked me if I'd like to work out with the team," Chesney adds, according to People. "I didn't have to think about it ... The answer was, 'Yes!'"

The 'Pirate Flag' singer is an avid football fan, having played in high school. He's championed the sport in songs like 'Boys of Fall,' which became a documentary in 2010. Chesney is also friends with Denver Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning.

At age 45, it's clear he can still outperform most men half his age. The singer's fans on Facebook were supportive of the outing, with many writing things like "He can tackle me anytime."
