Kenny Chesney topped all comers, including headline-grabbing pop star Lady Gaga, when it came to selling concert tickets this week, according to a report from Billboard. The country star packed over 46,000 people into Arlington, Texas' Cowboy Stadium to help earn this honor.

The 'Live a Little' singer grossed over $6.5 million between that show and three others he played in Portland, Maine; Uncasville, Conn. and Witchita, Kansas during the reporting period, besting the controversial fashion icon/singer by nearly a million dollars -- all while wearing just simple jeans and T-shirts. (Although, to be honest, he might own more hats than Gaga.)

Two other country acts also earned their way on to the Top 10 tours grossed for the week. Blake Shelton racked up nearly $300,000 with two shows in the southern United States, and Zac Brown Band earned over $449,000 for a single show in Round Rock, Texas.

So what's the morale here? Parents, get your newborn babies guitars and cowboy hats, pronto! Then bring 'em on down to one of the many shows still remaining on Chesney's 2011 summer tour, so they can see for themselves how it's  done. Then quit your job, sit back and just wait for those checks to roll in.
