Fans of Kenny Chesney in Boston can’t get enough of the star, it seems.

Overwhelming response to presale tickets for his show in the city at the New England Patriots’ Gillette Stadium Aug. 26, 2015 indicated a second date would be necessary to meet the demand. Chesney obliged, adding another show on the Spread the Love Tour the following night, Aug. 27, with presale starting Nov. 17. Tickets to both shows officially go on sale Nov. 20.

Chesney has been setting attendance records all year with his Big Revival Tour, especially in Boston, where he beat his own record with a staggering 120,206 fans Aug. 28 and 29, 2015. He’s played the stadium since 2005, and says his love for the city is strong.

"You never want to just assume people are as into you are you are to them,” Chesney says. "The people of New England, and especially Boston, have been so good to us for so long – and after this year, I didn’t want to assume we could do those kinds of numbers a second straight year. But once we went up on sale, we realized this year could be even bigger than last year, which is crazy."

The show will be Chesney’s 15th performance in the stadium in Foxborough, Mass.

“Then again, we named the No Shoes Nation at Foxborough,” he adds. "We’ve sold out 13 shows over eight years, and the heart, strength and passion of the people of Boston is what inspired me to start the Spread the Love Fund after the Boston Marathon bombing. So, I don’t know why I ever hesitated. Here’s to two rocking nights with some of my dearest friends in one of my favorite places in the world.”

The Spread the Love Tour kicks off in Auburn, Ala., at Auburn University’s Jordan-Hare stadium, also featuring Miranda Lambert, Sam Hunt, and Old Dominion. The full list of dates is below.

Chesney was the only country artist to be named to Billboard’s Top 10 Touring Acts of the Past 25 Years, selling more than 1.3 million tickets on the Big Revival Tour in total. The country superstar will also headline the 2016 Taste of Country Music Festival next summer.
