Kenny Rogers is sitting down for the interview of his life. On Sept. 24, AXS TV will air an exclusive interview between the country legend and well-known news anchor Dan Rather as part of their interview series, 'The Big Interview.'

The hour-long interview was filmed on the stage of Nashville's Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum in commemoration of their new exhibit, 'Kenny Rogers: Through the Years,' which opened on Aug. 15. During his candid and in-depth interview, the 'The Gambler' singer opens up about his prolific career and shares heartfelt details about his humble beginnings and the words of wisdom from his mother that he still follows today.

Under the setting of the Hall of Fame's exhibit chronicling Rogers' music career spanning over 50 years, Rather covers a wide range of topics with the illustrious country singer. Together, they flesh out Rogers' early years spent in multi-genre music acts -- everything from a doo-wop quartet, to a jazz trio, to a folk rock group -- before he found his way to the start of a prolific solo career, which has included countless awards and stunning duets with other country legends like Lionel Richie and, of course, Dolly Parton.

'The Big Interview' with Kenny Rogers will air on AXS TV on Sept. 24 at 8PM ET.
