This virtual high five goes out to Kevin Fowler, who is celebrating his fifth consecutive week at No. 1 on the Texas music chart with his catchy singalong song 'Hell Yeah, I Like Beer.' The Austin native has been riding steadily since weeks before the release of his new album, 'Chippin' Away,' which dropped on August 9.

While that's great news for Fowler, it's tough on 'those other guys' -- the other hitmakers who make up the Texas music scene. Casey Donahew Band and the Turnpike Troubadours maintained their No. 2 and No. 3 slots this week, as did No. 4 spot holder Stoney LaRue with his radio-spinning single 'Velvet.'

Up two spots from last week, Eli Young Band slid into the No. 5 spot with 'Crazy Girl,' which is a nice gift to them from radio, given that their new album, 'Life at Best,' hit the shelves today. That pushed Granger Smith's 'Sleeping on the Interstate' into the sixth position, while Jason Cassidy sneaked into the Top 10 with 'Honky Tonk Heaven.'

JB and the Moonshine Band, Mark McKinney and Cody Canada round out this week's chart-toppers, but by next Tuesday, it's anybody's guess who'll take the No. 1 trophy-winning spot. That is, unless, Kevin Fowler has something to say about it.
