Call it a comeback, as well-rounded musician Kid Rock (who has enjoyed success as a rapper, rocker and country singer all in the space of the last decade-plus) will return to host the CMT Music Awards for the second year in a row. It's Kid's second time hosting the show overall and the producers must feel that if ain't broke, why fix it? This year's awards ceremony airs on CMT on June 8, live from Nashville.

Kid Rock already has the parties in his sight, too! "Hosting the CMT Awards was a wonderful bridge to a great after party," Rock tells Us Weekly. "I'm looking forward to crossing that bridge again this year."

Since this year's festivities mark the 10th anniversary of the CMT Music Awards, we predict that the parties will be off the hook and that Rock will be having a grand old time when he hangs up his mic, finishes the gig and heads backstage to mix and mingle with country music's elite and A-listers!

Kid Rock is certainly enjoying his time on the boob tube this summer. In addition to his CMT hosting duties, he will also be the subject of a Comedy Central Roast, which will tape this August and air shortly afterwards.
