Little Big Town’s Kimberly Schlapman is bringing her Tennessee flavor to the Cooking Channel this summer with the premiere of her new show Kimberly’s Simply Southern on July 18. The show will invite fans and new viewers to get a glimpse into Schlapman’s own cooking style and her passion for simple, home-cooked meals with a Southern flair.

Schlapman will travel around the country in her tour bus, stopping along the way to sample homestyle local cooking. The first episode will bring Schlapman to her own Music City to try some bonafide barbecue before coming back to the kitchen to try her hand at the Southern tradition along with special guest Kix Brooks of Brooks and Dunn.

The singer will bring on several other fellow country stars and celebrity guests to help her out in the kitchen this season, including bandmates Karen Fairchild, Phillip Sweet and Jimi Westbrook, Hillary Scott of Lady Antebellum, Brett Eldredge and more.

Though nothing is burning on her stove, Little Big Town have been burning up the charts with their latest single, “Girl Crush,” which set a record for the most consecutive weeks a country single has ever spent at No. 1, hitting its 11th last week. Unfortunately, the group has had to take a step back from touring while Westbrook recovers from vocal cord surgery, but Schlapman says she’s making the most of the time off to get some things done.

“I had a list as long as my arm, and it’s dwindling, and it’s nice,” she shared on the Country Countdown USA radio show. “My list is getting shorter and shorter.”

If all goes according to plan, LBT will be back on the road in August continuing their Pain Killer tour through November.
