The Showdown: Kip Moore vs. Chris Young

Kip Moore has pulled out a very close victory over Lauren Alaina, and will now face Chris Young in a new Showdown.

Alaina had been shooting for the Hall of Fame when Moore's new single, "Running for You," came along and managed to do what no other challenger had, getting fans to vote just enough to squeak out a narrow win over Alaina's "Next Boyfriend." "Running for You" is a moody love song that's the new single from Moore's Wild Ones album, and it's unlike anything else that's currently at country radio.

Chris Young is new to radio with "Think of You," a duet with Cassadee Pope that is the next single from his I'm Comin' Over album. The track features strong vocal performances from both singers, making it stand out right from the first.

If a song wins five Showdowns in a row, it will be retired into the Taste of Country Showdown Hall of Fame to allow for new songs to compete. Some songs will be considered for a second Showdown if voter turnout is healthy in a losing effort.
