Lights, camera, action! Kip Moore and Vince Gill are getting ready to jump offstage and on-camera for an appearance on the hit show 'Nashville.'

The pair -- along with Pam Tillis -- won't have to reach too far out of character, as they'll be playing themselves. If you're familiar with the show, the country stars' scene will take place during the birthday celebration of Deacon (played by Charles Esten).

While Moore is certainly looking forward to his debut on the Nashville-based television series, he provides some practical insight into the show's drama, admitting what's portrayed isn't always the norm for the Music City. "I don't think that everybody believes that's exactly how Nashville is," the singer tells ABC News Radio. "Tell people to lighten up a little bit. It's TV. You gotta put the drama in there, and you gotta do stuff entertaining for people."

These country music favorites certainly know a few things about entertaining, as Moore's sold-out shows started his 2013 off with a bang and Gill's iconic talent earned him a star in the prestigious Hollywood Walk of Fame in the fall.

The upcoming star-studded episode, which will also feature Dan Auerbach from the Black Keys, airs Feb. 27. Be sure to catch 'Nashville' every Wednesday night at 10PM ET on ABC.
