Kip Moore is on one heck of a ride to country superstar status. Not only does he have a critically-acclaimed debut album on the shelves, as well as a new music video and a No. 1 hit song for his latest single, 'Somethin' 'Bout a Truck,' but he also recently just found out that the song has been certified gold for sales exceeding 500,000 digital downloads.

Moore received the good news while on stage in Knoxville, Tenn. last weekend when opening up for David Nail and Billy Currington. And he couldn't have been in a better place to get the plaque, standing in front of the fans who helped earn him such honors.

"That was a complete surprise," Moore recently told GAC's 'Headline Country.' "I still can't wrap my head around a gold record. You hope for those things to happen, but you don't expect them to happen. You're so used to things not happening, and then when they finally do, it's like, 'Who's playing a joke on me?'"

This week, 'Somethin' 'Bout a Truck' is sitting at the No. 1 position on both the Billboard and Mediabase / Country Aircheck country singles chart. Moore's new album 'Up All Night' -- which features 'Somethin' 'Bout a Truck' -- is in stores now.
